Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to your use of Octoclip apps, website, documentation, community, licensing, payment, and support services.

Clipboard content

Octoclip is designed around local-first clipboard use. Clipboard content is primarily stored in the app's local data area on your device.

  • Nearby Sync transfers content between your devices over the local or nearby path.
  • Cloud Sync uses the storage path you configure, such as WebDAV or S3.
  • Octoclip does not use Octoclip-owned cloud storage to store or analyze your clipboard content.

Information we may process

Depending on which services you use, Octoclip may process:

  • Email address: collected when you activate a license, purchase, request a refund, or contact support, and used for license delivery, receipts, customer support, and account management. The Free version does not require an email; it is only needed for activation and paid-related flows. Email is transmitted over an encrypted connection (TLS) and is shared with third parties such as the payment processor (e.g. Paddle) and crash-diagnostics/analytics services to provide the functions above. You can request deletion via support@octoclip.app.
  • License and purchase information needed for activation, receipts, refunds, and support.
  • Operational information needed for reliability, security, abuse prevention, diagnostics, and crash analysis.
  • Community and support information that you voluntarily submit.
  • Website analytics or similar aggregated usage signals when enabled.

Do not include passwords, API keys, private tokens, or sensitive clipboard content in support tickets, screenshots, public posts, or logs.

Sync and storage

Cloud Sync is optional. If you enable it, your data path depends on the provider and configuration you choose. You are responsible for your own WebDAV / S3 account, access controls, retention policy, and provider compliance posture.

Third-party services

Some parts of the service may rely on third parties, such as payment processing, app stores, analytics/crash diagnostics, hosting, or community software. Their processing follows their own terms and privacy policies.

Your controls

You can manage app permissions, sync mode, sync scope, history retention, device activation, and local data cleanup in the app or platform settings. You can disable sync features if you do not want clip content to leave a device.

章鱼速贴以本地优先的剪贴使用方式为基础。剪贴内容主要保存在你设备上的应用本地数据区域。

  • 附近同步通过本地或近距离路径在你的设备之间传输内容。

  • 章鱼速贴不会使用自有云存储保存或分析你的剪贴内容。

我们可能处理的信息

根据你使用的服务，章鱼速贴可能处理：

  • 邮箱地址：在你激活许可证、购买、退款或联系支持时收集，用于许可证发放、收据、客户支持与账户管理。免费版无需提供邮箱；仅在激活与付费相关流程中需要。邮箱通过加密连接（TLS）传输，并会与支付处理方（如 Paddle）及崩溃诊断/分析等第三方服务共享以完成上述功能。你可通过 support@octoclip.app 申请删除。
  • 用于激活、收据、退款和支持的许可证与购买信息。
  • 用于可靠性、安全、防滥用、诊断和崩溃分析的运营信息。
  • 你主动提交到社区或支持渠道的信息。
  • 启用时的网站分析或类似的聚合使用信号。

请不要在工单、截图、公开帖子或日志中包含密码、API 密钥、私人令牌或敏感剪贴内容。

同步与存储

云同步是可选功能。如果你启用云同步，数据路径取决于你选择的服务商和配置。你的 WebDAV / S3 账号、访问控制、保留策略和服务商合规状态由你自己负责。

第三方服务

部分服务可能依赖第三方，例如支付处理、应用商店、分析/崩溃诊断、托管或社区软件。这些服务中的数据处理规则以对应服务条款和隐私政策为准。

你的控制权

你可以在应用或系统设置中管理权限、同步方式、同步范围、历史保留、设备激活和本地数据清理。如果不希望剪贴内容离开设备，可以关闭同步功能。

我们可能根据产品变更、法律要求或安全实践更新本政策。更新后会在本页标注最新日期。
